I can't help it--you gotta admire these dudes. What they're doing (and actively promoting through their Twitter feed) is just simply exposing the fragile mirage known as Internet security for what it really is. Beneath the DDoS shenanigans on various gaming sites, the Pastebin evidences of ownage and so forth, they are simply bringing to light how pockmarked our infrastructure really is. Wake up, folks...most of the time, any "secure" transaction you enact online is a game of Russian roulette.

ZeuS Malware Blues

Word is out that there are some peeps wearing the blackest of hats that have created a new way to drop a “drive by download” on users’ systems by way of deceptive emails containing links. The primary target is LinkedIn users (for now, anyway), and once they click these links contained in emails supposedly from a fellow LinkedInner, they are directed to a page that says nothing more than “Please Waiting…” for a few seconds, and then they are redirected to Google with seemingly no damage. In that small span of time, the ZeuS Malware gets dropped on their system, and later steals logon creds for any online banking sites the user frequents. These creds get wisked away to a remote server to be used for later nefarious purposes. The love of money never sleeps, for real.
